Nokia phones seem to be on a global launching spree. After the recent launch of Nokia X5 in China market and Nokia 3.1 in India, the smartphone maker has unveiled Nokia 6.1 Plus, global variant of the Nokia X6, in Hong Kong. According to a report by NDTV Gadgets, the phone will be made available from July 24th in Hong Kong.

Nokia 6.1 Plus is similar to its Chinese counterpart X6, launched earlier in May, on all counts, and it has been launched highlighting the camera features and AI imaging experience. The company is banking on the tagline ‘standout and tell your story’ to attract interested buyers.

This smartphone with its aluminium frame design boasts of 5.8-inch screen with display notch along with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The company claims that the phone’s HDR imaging technology provides ‘crisper and sharper’ images and the EIS technology assists in getting a stable visual effect in the pictures.

The artificial intelligence camera features on other hand offers ‘better vibrancy and contrast, with masks and filter’ options for users. Also this being an Android One phone, it will receive regular security updates from launch as well as two years’ of major OS upgrades.

This dual SIM (nano) smartphone will be available in Blue and White colours but detail about pricing has not been revealed by the company.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is gets an octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC, coupled with 4GB RAM and runs on native Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone bears a dual rear camera setup with a primary 16MP sensor and a secondary 5MP sensor.
