The world’s biggest two wheeler market, India, is growing at an unprecedented pace, and Japanese scooter manufacturer Honda is at its forefront. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) recently launched updated versions of the Activa i and the Aviator in India. Both models get only cosmetic upgrades with no changes to power or engine specification.

The 2018 Honda Aviator is priced at Rs 55,157, whereas the updated Activa i will be available at Rs 50,010, all prices ex-showroom, Delhi. The lightweight Honda Activa i scooter comes with new dual tone colour options over the previous version accounted for by a marginal price hike. It also gets a revised instrument cluster, metallic exhaust muffler, front storage hook and new body graphics. The 4-in-1 lock with seat opener switch also makes it to the 2018 Activa i.

The 2018 Activa i is available in five new colours options: Candy Jazzy Blue, Imperial Red Metallic, Lush Magenta Metallic, Orchid Purple Metallic, and Mat Axis Grey Metallic. This along with a maintenance-free battery pack and under-seat storage of 18 litres betters the previous generation scooter.

The updated the updated Honda Aviator, on the other hand, comes with an LED headlight along with a metal muffler protector, and a front hook and retractable rear hook that adds to bit more convenience. Additionally, it also gets a new Pearl Spartan Red shade that brings the total colour options up to four, adding to the existing Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic, and Pearl Amazing White.

There are no changes to the engine, however, on both scooter models and Combi-Braking System (CBS) is given as standard. Honda definitely seems to be in for a longer run at this while churning out upgrades and newer products regularly.
