NIOS Class 10, 12 admissions begin for 2021-22 session; here’s how to apply
National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has begun the online registration process for admission to Class 10 and 12 for the academic year 2021-22.
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has begun the online registration process for admission to Class 10 and 12 for the academic year 2021-22. Students can register at the NIOS admission portal sdmis.nios.ac.in.
The minimum age to be eligible for admission to Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) is 14 and 15 respectively.
For Secondary students, NIOS offers 36 subjects including 18 languages, while for Sr. Secondary, 46 subjects including 12 languages are offered.

Registration for admission in NIOS Secondary and Senior Secondary courses for 2021-22 session will start from 1st April 2021. The Examination for these learners will be conducted in April 2022.

Steps to register for NIOS Class 10, 12 admission 2021-22:
- Visit the official website sdmis.nios.ac.in
- On the homepage, click on the ‘Stream 1-April 2021’ link
- Select State or Union Territory, and key in your identity number, course and submit
- Key in the required details and upload the documents
- Pay the applicable fee
- Download and take a printout of the application fee for future reference
