Six people were killed on Sunday as the storm tore through most parts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha causing roads and railways to shut down.
Three of those people were killed in rain related incidents in Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam, according to the Andhra Pradesh government. One died when a compound wall of a building collapsed while the other two when a tree collapsed following the heavy rains. Tidal waves are expected to be high and inundate low-lying areas.
