India’s Pooja Khanna bowed out of the 2016 Rio Paralympics after she lost to Poland’s Milena Olszewska in the elimination round of the women's archery recurve event on Thursday. After finishing 29th in the ranking round, Khanna faced a tough task against the fourth-ranked Polish archer.
The result was as expected with Khanna losing 6-2 in four sets, ending her hopes of bagging a medal. Khanna lost the first and second set 22-25 and 21-23 respectively. However, she won the third 25-24 to raise hopes of a victorious comeback. Unfortunately for India, she lost the fourth 22-23 to end her Rio campaign.
