Indian Premier League outfit Gujarat Lions have roped in all-rounder Irfan Pathan as replacement for the injured Dwayne Bravo, who was ruled out for the rest of the tournament last week.
Pathan, who failed to find a team during the players’ auction, announced the news through a tweet on Monday.
The 32-year-old has joined the team in Bengaluru ahead of their clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday.
Raina had informed ahead his side’s game against Kings XI Punjab, that Bravo will take no further part in this edition of the IPL.
Gujarat are currently placed 7th in the table, having won just two games from the seven they have played so far. Their bowling has been a major concern through the course of the season and they will hope Pathan comes and changes the trend.
The Baroda cricketer had played for Rising Pune Supergiant in the 2016 edition.
