J&K: Foreign militant killed in gunfight at Shopian, say police
The search operation for other militants is in progress, an officer said.
A foreign Jaish-e-Mohammad militant was killed during a gunfight with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday, the police said.
The militant was identified as Kamran Bhai alias Hanees. According to the police, he was active in areas near Kulgam and Shopian.
“Search operation is still going on,” the police said.
