Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra could star in a movie version of Baywatch, the popular 1990s American television series about California lifeguards. Hollywood Reporter said the 33-year-old is in talks to join Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Zac Efron in the movie, directed by Seth Gordon and produced by Paramount.

The movie would be Chopra's first in Hollywood. The actor currently stars in the American television series Quantico, where she plays an FBI agent suspected of being a terrorist. Chopra recently won the People’s Choice Award for the Favourite Actress in a New TV Series for the role.

According to the report, the Baywatch movie will centre on the leader of an elite group of lifeguards (Johnson), who is forced to team up with a young former Olympian (Efron) to save their bay.
