Actor Aamir Khan on Wednesday weighed in on CNN-IBN journalist Bhupendra Chaubey's now-controversial interview of actor Sunny Leone. Khan said he would be happy to work with Leone and had "absolutely no problems" with her past work in the United States adult entertainment industry. After Chaubey was criticised for asking rather humiliating questions and sexist questions to Leone, Khan wrote on Twitter that the 34-year-old "conducted herself with a lot of grace and dignity" during the interview. "I wish I could have said the same about the interviewer," he added.

During an interview conducted in the build-up to the release of Leone's film Mastizaade, Chaubey had asked her, “You think that Aamir Khan would ever work with you?” Leone replied that the question should be directed at Khan. The veteran journalist then asked, “Would you want to work with Aamir Khan?” Leone replied in the affirmative. Chaubey probed further, “So you would like to work with Aamir Khan but Aamir Khan wouldn’t want to work with you? How would that reflect on you then?”

Leone has since been praised by many from the Indian film industry for her composure. After receiving severe criticism, Chaubey attempted some damage control, saying that the interview worked out for Leone since she has received "positive feedback" for it.
