Popular porn site Brazzers has been hacked, leaving the details of more than eight lakh users exposed, reports claimed on Tuesday. While the cyber attack took place in 2013, it only came to light on Tuesday, BBC reported. The viewers names, login IDs, passwords and email addresses were made visible through the data dump after they were taken from the Brazzersforum site, on which users discussed the clips they were watching.

Technology news website Motherboard said it received the data from Vigilante.pw, a monitoring platform, and that security researchers confirmed that the usernames and passwords were genuine. Experts said the exposé was worse than just users' identities coming to the fore, as it also revealed their preferences and sexual fantasies. They also claimed that the forum was using poorly secured vBulletin software, which made it easy for the hackers.

Brazzers released a statement saying it had taken measures to stop the details from being used again on the site.
