Uttar Pradesh: Journalist who also held RSS role shot dead in Ghazipur
The police said they have identified the suspects who fired at Rajesh Mishra.
A Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader and journalist, Rajesh Mishra, was shot dead by bike-borne assailants on Saturday in Uttar Pradesh Ghazipur district, ANI reported. The police said they have identified the shooters, and would arrested them soon.
Mishra and his brother were at their shop in Karanda area of Ghazipur when the suspects opened fire at them, The Times of India reported. While Mishra died on the spot, his brother was taken to a nearby hospital, and is said to be in critical condition.
On October 17, RSS leader Ravinder Gosain was shot dead by unidentified men in Punjab’s Ludhiana. Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Thursday said the case had been handed over to the National Investigation Agency after the RSS requested for it.
