Registration for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for graduate medical students has begun, the National Board of Examinations announced on Wednesday. In a notice on their website, the board said November 27 was the last date to apply for Neet.

The exam will be held on January 7, 2018, and the results will be declared on January 31.

Only candidates with an MBBS degree or a provisional MBBS pass certificate from a recognised college can appear for Neet. The candidates need to have permanent or provisional registration certificate proving MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council, the board said.

Candidates from the general category or from Other Backward Classes have to pay a registration fee of Rs 3,750, whereas candidates from Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe communities or those with disabilities have to pay Rs 2,750.
