Gurugram school murder: Bus conductor to file case against police officers
After arresting a Class 11 student for the murder, the CBI said it was also investigating the role of a second student.
Ashok Kumar, the bus conductor who was initially arrested in connection with the murder of a Class 2 boy in Gurugram’s Ryan International School, has decided to file a case against the police officers, PTI reported on Friday.
“As soon as the closure report comes, we will file a bail plea for Ashok,” Kumar’s lawyer Mohit Verma was quoted as saying by ANI. “Once he is discharged, we will file a case against the police and the school management.”
Kumar’s father Amirchand told PTI that the family wanted to file a case against Gurgaon Police SIT officers who, they alleged, tortured and drugged Kumar to confess that he committed the crime.
The Class 2 boy was found murdered with his throat slit inside one of the washrooms of the school on September 8.
Meanwhile, the Class 11 student who is accused of murdering his junior was brought to the Central Bureau of Investigation’s headquarters in New Delhi on Friday for questioning, The Indian Express reported.
The CBI is also investigating the role of a second student, ANI reported. It will verify the veracity of the statements that the school gardener and physical training teacher recorded with the local police.
