CBSE denies Class 12 accountancy paper was leaked, to file First Information Report
The board said some ‘miscreants tried to play mischief’ by circulating messages through social media.

The Central Board of Secondary Education on Thursday denied reports that the Class 12 accountancy paper was leaked. Seals of all papers were found “intact” at all examination centres, the CBSE said.
Some “miscreants...tried to play mischief by circulating messages through WhatsApp and social media...during the process of examination”, a statement by the board said. It said the CBSE would file a First Information Report in the matter on Thursday.
The accountancy examination was held on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, reports had said that copies of the question paper were allegedly circulated on WhatsApp and released on social media since Wednesday evening. Reports said the source of the leak was traced to Rohini locality of Delhi.
Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia confirmed the leak, and asked for action to be taken. He said he had told the Directorate of Education to file a complaint with the CBSE in the matter.
“I had asked the secretary and Directorate of Education to check, and it is confirmed: the questions [in the leaked paper] match with the set-II [question paper in Thursday’s exam],” Sisodia told The Indian Express.

Swift action must be taken, so that hard-working students don't suffer due to negligence of CBSE.
Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar has taken cognisance of the matter but the ministry can step in only after the CBSE submits a formal report, a ministry official told News18.
