A Mumbai-based businessman has been arrested for allegedly raping a veteran Bollywood actor, the police told PTI on Friday. The actor filed the case against Aman Khanna at Juhu police station on Thursday night.

“The accused has been arrested and produced in local court,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nisar Tamboli told the news agency. “The matter has been handed over to the Crime Branch. The investigation is on.”

According to reports, the actor had filed a case of stalking and criminal intimidation against the accused in January. The alleged incidents took place between 2010 and 2015, Tamboli said. The actor has also filed a separate case accusing Khanna of cheating her of Rs 15.4 crore on the pretext of finalising a property deal.
