Maintaining peace along border shows maturity of India and China, says Narendra Modi
The prime minister said the ties between the nations are a factor of global stability.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday termed India-China relations as a factor of stability in the world. Modi made the remark when the Defence Minister of China, General Wei Fenghe, met him in Delhi on Tuesday.
“Maintenance of peace and tranquility in the border areas is indicative of the sensitivity and maturity with which India and China handle their differences, not allowing them to become disputes,” Modi said, according to a statement issued by his office.
Modi also appreciated the increased momentum of high-level contacts between India and China in all areas, including defence and military exchanges, the statement said.
