Two minor girls gangraped in Delhi
The accused in both gangrape cases have been arrested by the Delhi police.
A week after the horrific rape and torture of a four-year-old girl in Delhi, reports of two more minor girls having been gangraped have emerged from the capital. Both girls are critical.
In the first case, in west Delhi's Nangloi area on Friday, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men who abducted her from outside her house. Neighbours found her lying unconscious and bleeding profusely at a nearby park. Her mother claimed that the minor was abducted while watching a Ramleela performance near her house. No one has been arrested in this case so far.
In the second such case, a five-year-old was raped allegedly by three men in east Delhi's Anand Vihar area when alone at home. One of the accused, her neighbour, took her to his house and then allegedly raped her along with his friends. The accused have been arrested.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed concern over the repeated rape of minors in the city and asked what Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung were doing about it.
