Rajkumar Hirani’s untitled biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt will be out on June 29, Bollywood trade analysts tweeted on Friday. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as the troubled actor who overcame drug addiction to emerge as a star in the 1980s and ’90s, the movie was supposed to have been out on March 30.

A hint that the production had been delayed was given by the announcement on Thursday of a new release date for Baaghi 2. The sequel to Sabbir Khan’s 2016 hit, which stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani, was supposed to be out on April 27, but was advanced to March 30.

Fox Star Studios has co-produced both the Dutt biopic and Baaghi 2, and it was unlikely that they would release two high-profile movies on the same date.

The cast for the Sanjay Dutt film includes Vickey Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Aditi Seiya and Karishma Tanna. The movie has been co-produced by Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

The other scheduled releases on June 29 are Shaad Ali’s sports biopic Soorma and a live-action movie based on the doll Barbie.
