Gajodhar, Pyaari and Dulaari are the unlikely fighting partners of Ryan Reynolds’s Deadpool in the fan-made Bhojpuri trailer for the upcoming Deadpool 2. Josh Brolin’s villainous Cable has been rechristened Lallan.
A sequel to Deadpool (2016), the May 18 release features the superhero forming a team of mutants named X-Force to protect a young mutant named Russell from the time-travelling soldier Cable.
While the film has an official Hindi version, in which Ranveer Singh voices Reynolds’s irreverent superhero, spoof trailers in Gujarati, Bhojpuri and Marathi have popped up on the internet. Marvel’s wisecracking anti-hero sounds even more ribald in the spoof versions, and his penchant for profanity yields hilarious results.
In the Bhojpuri spoof, there’s a bizarre obsession with milk and references to a kidnapped buffalo. The trailer ends with Deadpool requesting for the iconic Lollipop Lagelu song.
The Gujarati spoof features the popular track Sanedo. Deadpool’s gang consists of “Moto Modi” (Big Modi), “Naano Modi” (Small Modi), and Dayaben from Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
Meanwhile, the Marathi-speaking Deadpool grooves to the beats of Nashik Dhol.
