What happens when a woman marries a man with a hidden agenda? ZEE5’s upcoming Tamil web series Kallachirippu answers this question through a grisly murder.
Kallachirippu (Fake Smile) has been produced by Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj (Jigarthanda, Mercury) and directed by Roju, who is also the show’s creator.
The thriller follows the life of a woman (Amrutha Srinivasan), who accidentally kills her husband a few months into the marriage. “This sets off a chain of events that reveal the true nature of every character involved in this marriage,” the according to the official synopsis.
The series will be released on the streaming platform on July 23.
