“He liked to go fast,” Ashley Walker says with a smile about her brother Paul Walker in the trailer for the documentary I Am Paul Walker. “As soon as I was old enough to hang on tight, I was on the back of the big wheel with him, going for the ride of my life.”
The actor was best known for his roles in the The Fast and the Furious franchise. Walker died in a car accident in November 2013. He was in the passenger seat of the vehicle with his friend when the car hit a light pole and caught fire. Walker was last seen in James Wan’s Furious 7 (2015), which was released more than a year after his death.
The Paramount Network production traces Walker’s early years, relying on interviews and home video footage provided by the family. Walker’s brother, Caleb Walker, is the film’s executive producer. The documentary will also give a glimpse into Walker’s philanthropic work, according to Cosmopolitan. The film will be released on August 11.
