Mammootty’s Hari has an image crisis in the trailer of Oru Kuttanadan Blog. Produced by Anantha Visions, the comedy-drama marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Sethu.

Hari is misunderstood by most of the residents in his village of Kuttanad. “This is not the first time,” he says at the beginning of the trailer. “I have taken the blame for others many a time.” In another scene, he claims that the “moral police” will be harsher on him than everyone else. The trailer features him flirting with women and gallivanting with his friends, one of whom offers sterling advice: “Don’t say the name. ‘Victim’. That’s how you must say it.”

Oru Kuttanadan Blog has three female protagonists, played by Anu Sithara, Shamna Kasim and Raai Laxmi. The cast also includes Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Adil Ibrahim and Jude Anthany Joseph. The film is scheduled to be released on August 24.

Sethu’s writing credits include Mallu Singh (2012), Cousins (2014) and Achayans (2017). He previously used to work in collaboration with Sachi. The duo co-wrote five films, including Robin Hood (2009) and Doubles (2011).
