When hard-core technology meets creative minds, you get a... concert.

Coders and others at Twitter, Facebook, Google, Apple and other tech companies forgot they were competitors for one night recently. It was a night dedicated to music in general and a capella in particular – Silicon Valley’s annual Techapella.

The idea of creating a capella groups originated in the Google office in San Francisco. After a former employee left to join Twitter, the practice followed him there. One by one, all the leading tech companies began to create their own a capella groups.

In the video above, Facebook’s The Vocal Network, Google’s Googapella, and Twitter’s Songbirds – all aptly named – present their renditions.
