Qwerty phone BlackBerry KEY 2 gets India launch, KEY 2 India price revealed
The BlackBerry KEY 2, with a physical Qwerty keyboard and long-lasting battery, has been launched in India as Amazon exclusive. Sale begins from July 31st.
Over a month after its international launch in June, the BlackBerry KEY2 has been finally launched in India. The licensee Optiemus Infracom, a Delhi-based telecommunications company, has introduced BlackBerry’s newest flagship phone to India and has priced it at Rs.42,990.
The unique selling point of the BlackBerry KEY2 is its physical Qwerty keypad with shortcuts that help users launch apps and activate commands using a single key. In India, the BlackBerry KEY2 will be an Amazon exclusive, going on sale on the e-retailers on July 31st. Those interested in the Qwerty phone can avail of a Reliance Jio cash back offer of Rs.4,450 or an ICICI bank cash back offer, NDTV Gadgets reported.
The company claims that the latest offering boasts the “most intelligent keyboard ever, and a battery that lasts up to 2 days”. The phone also gets a Series 7 aluminum alloy frame along with a textured diamond grip, non-slip back.
The KEY2 is BlackBerry’s first offering that comes with a horizontally-stacked dual camera setup, each of 12 megapixels. The front camera is an 8MP fixed-focus lens.
