Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the revised result for the 2019 SSC GD Constable written examination on December 31st, 2019. The SSC had to relaese the revised result due to the revision in the number of vacancies so as the maintain the 1:10 ratio of number of candidates shortlisted versus the number of vacancies.

An additional 19,734 candidates have been shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST). The additional/revised result can be accessed at the official website, ssc.nic.in.

The notification for the revised results says, “MHA vide letter dated 26-11-2019 has intimated a total of 60210 vacancies. Due to the revision of vacancies in few States/ UTs, additional candidates have been shortlisted in an approximate ratio of 1:10 (vacancies: candidates). Keeping the above in view, 19,734 additional candidates (Female-8,588 and Male-11,146) have been shortlisted for appearing in PET/ PST.”

This the second revision in the result for the GD Constable 2018 recruitment. The first revision for shortlisted candidates ended up having 5,35,169 candidates (Female-68,781 and Male-4,66,388) were shortlisted for appearing in Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST).

The notification for the SSC GD Constable recruitment drive was released in July 2018 and the application process stared in the month of August 2018. The initial total number of vacancy was 54,953, which was later revised to 58,373 of which 50,666 are for males and 8,307 are for females. The latest revision stated the SSC GD Constable recruitment will be done for 60,210 vacancies.
