A court in Rajasthan’s Alwar district on Wednesday acquitted all the six accused in the Pehlu Khan lynching case, giving them the benefit of doubt. Khan was killed in April 2017 after being attacked by cow vigilantes near Behror on the Jaipur-Delhi national highway.
Kashmiri bureaucrat-turned-politician Shah Faesal was detained at the Delhi airport on Wednesday and was asked to return to Kashmir, where he has been reportedly detained again. The detention came a week after the Centre withdrew Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and split the state into two Union Territories.

Madhya Pradesh: Congress ends practice of felicitating Emergency detainees on Independence Day
