The makers of Rajinikanth-starrer Kaala, directed by Pa Ranjith, released a poster of the film on December 12, which also happens to be the 67-year-old actor’s birthday. Covered in soot, wearing a greasy black shirt and sunglasses, Rajinikanth looks grim and intimidating in the poster. He wore a similar expression in one of the first posters of the film.

Produced by Wunderbar Films, which is owned by actor Dhanush, the film is nearing completion and will be released in 2018. Kaala also stars Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Nana Patekar and Samuthirakani.
