Bihar road rage case: Suspended JD(U) lawmaker's son gets bail
The victim's father said he would appeal to the Nitish Kumar government to take measures to save the state from 'jungle raj'.
Rocky Yadav, son of suspended Janata Dal (United) legislator, was granted bail by Patna High Court on Thursday in a road rage case where a teenage boy was killed, ANI reported. The victim’s father said he would appeal to the Bihar government, to take measure to save the state from “jungle raj”. He said, “We have all the proofs with us but still justice is denied, money and power has again silenced the truth.”
The victim’s mother said, “We've lost our child and he won't come back but still we are looking for justice, he (Rocky Yadav) should realise his mistake.” She alleged that the court gave its verdict in favour of the accused without even opening the case.
On May 8, Rocky Yadav allegedly shot and killed 19-year-old Aditya Sachdeva (pictured above) for overtaking his SUV, in which he was travelling with his bodyguard. Yadav was arrested on May 10. His father Bindi Yadav and bodyguard were also arrested in connection with the case.
Yadav’s mother Manorama Devi was later suspended from the party for trying to protect her son. She was arrested for flouting prohibition orders in the state after bottles of alcohol were found stashed in her house in Gaya and was later granted bail. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had set up a Special Investigating Team to locate the accused. “No one will be spared, however powerful,” Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav had said.
